MVA Winter Classic

Start Times: The tournament will start at 9 AM. Teams not ready to play will forfeit one point per minute.

Officiating: All teams must have players capable of officiating. Training is available if needed. If you have any questions, please reply to rick@mnvba.com. Six players are required to officiate including a first and second referee, two line judges, a visual and a written score keeper. Teams must have 2 whistles – one for the 1st referee and one for the second referee.

Uniforms: All players (except the libero) must wear a jersey with a number, preferably non duplicated and front and back. Teams that have players without numbers (besides the libero) will forfeit.  This will be enforced!

Formats: Five team pools play two games to 25 points, four team pools play three games to 21 points, There are no caps or time limits on any games. Men's - TBD. WHA, WLA, WBB will advance the top 4 teams to playoffs - no tie breaker games for teams tied for a playoff 4th place. 1st & 4th will play first and 2nd & 3rd will officiate. Then 2nd & 3rd will play and the winner of the first match will officiate. The loser of 2 & 3 will officiate finals. Head to head tie breakers will be used for teams tied for the last playoff position.

Do not leave the site at the end of the day without checking with the site director!
